What are the Initial requirements for a licensed Security/Fire Alarm Installer?

 

An applicant must submit a completed application to the South Carolina Contractors Licensing Board, including:

- all applicable fees

- a Certificate of Liability Insurance

- Score sheets from the required Technical and Code of Law exams

- Proof of NTS Level 1 Certification (Burglar Alarm)

- Proof of NTS Level 1 Certification or NICET Level II (Fire Alarm)

 

South Carolina does have reciprocity with Alabama, Georgia, and Texas.

What are the continuing education requirements for South Carolina?

There are no requirements for continuing education at this time.
